I had my first Prostap injection 21 days ago and have just got a very painful period. Is it normal to still get a period with the injection? What are your experiences with Prostap injections?

I had a painful period a couple of weeks after my first prostap injection, then one two weeks after that and have not had one since (it has been 18 months now). I was told that some people will have one or two at the very beginning. Hope the injections help you.

Thank you, me too!
I looked online, it just says you may get a bleed 2 weeks after but this is def a period as it’s the right time, pain etc. Good to know it’s normal, I was just told that they’d stop.
How are you getting on having them for so long?
The menopause symptoms are hard sometimes (Hot flushes, migraines, nausea and a bit of brain fog) but I have a low dose of (Livial) HRT to help with those and I have NO MORE PAIN which has changed my life. I’ve had bone scans to check for osteoporosis and so far all ok.

Ah ok, good to know! Great news about it being a life changer! I’m really hoping that my next injection really helps because I can’t live a normal life in this much pain.
Thank you 😊
