So I’ve been having more intestinal issues lately but since covid started I had to wait so I can see my GP. My question is who do I have to see for intestinal issues? I’m sure it is connected to endo, and it has been getting worse.
I have spoken about the extreme constipation to my GP but she gave me an IBS leaflet to change my diet. I can’t have to much fibre because it block me up, so I try different things to help me go. The issue is that I keep having piles and fissures and in my last cycles I have been having rectal spasms and a lot of pressure on my bladder. It hurts a lot going to the loo for anything. Since the lockdown is easing now. I’ll ask for a referral since I won’t get anything done with the GP. Even though these are issues in the pelvic area, who shall I ask referral to? The endo clinic?
Thank you 🙏

If it’s related to the endo it would be a gynaecologist who is part of a specialist team.
My bowel issues are deep endo, I did recently go through gastro, with CT colonoscopy, this ruled out other things. I’m waiting for update from gynaecologist now. I use Laxido and lactulose everyday, tried not to, but makes it all worse.
Look at the Endometriosis UK site, there is info on what you need to go to GP with, and also print out the NICE guidelines.
Thank you...I’ve been using lactose and I asked the GP if that was ok or not. Why is lactulose bad? Is it like other laxatives that makes the bowel become “addicted “ to it?
Lactulose softens the stools, Laxido helps the bowels to work. The endo is semi blocking my bowel which I’m assuming is why they aren’t working so well.
I asked GP if taking both was ok, they’ve prescribed both. I try occasionally not to take as I hope the system will work on its own.
I get what you mean. Is te same I’ve been feeling which is like being blocked. I use senna and lactulose. Have you tried other natural approaches? I have tried triphala and sometimes it works. It does seem to work better when taken with some fat and plenty of water. I try to take triphala and avoid senna as much as possible. Instead of taking the triphala in the evening I prefer taking it in the morning so I can drink more water.m, otherwise I feel like I get really dehydrated at night.
I’ve tried adding linseed to yogurt and trying to eat more fruit, unfortunately in recent months I haven’t been eating as much, it’s been hard to do from food when you don’t feel like it. This week my appetite seems better, but once I eat a bit more, just feel bloated and bunged up. Part is partially blocked by endo I’ve been told.
I’ve got senna as well, but I think Ive got a pattern at present.
