Has anyone experienced bad withdrawal from decapeptyl/ triptorelin?
My 3rd and final monthly shot was nearly 6 weeks ago and I decided not to have any more due to the side effects.
The last few days I feel so peculiar one minute I’m shivering the next I’m sweating, pounding headache, thrush, bit of sore throat and generally just feeling unwell.
If this is withdrawal, how long does it last?

Hi, I can’t answer your question as I had only had my first injection today. I’m wondered if you can help me.
Do you know if you can/ need to take the contraceptive pill whilst having the injection? I forgot to ask my consultant and now can’t get in touch with him.
I don’t know if it is withdrawal or just the hormones kicking back. I had my last shot 2 months ago and still have symptoms, like blurry vision, hot flushes, cramps, acne, low blood pressure, lightheadedness, etc. My obgyn told me that this is normal. I wanted to have hormonal blood test but the doctor told me that the results will come back weird because my body is still adjusting. I am waiting... and no period yet!
Hi Lily1986, I also stopped Triptorelin 4 weeks ago, I also have very similar symptoms, it drains my energy, about 2 hours after I wake I'm ready for sleep again, not nice. I had had only 3 monthly shots out of prescribed 8 shots, just couldn't continue, felt suicidal, then found that hundreds of men suicide on Triptorelin, very sad 😢
