I think im pregnant but scared it’s ectopic

Hi everyone I’ve just took all these tests today so I think I’m pregnant but I’m petrified it will be ectopic.

I have a right partly blocked tube and I’m sure I ovulated from my right ovary this month as I was in so much pain on my right side so I have kind of give up hope this month. Since ovulation I’ve had mild twinge achy pain on the right side and in my back but this happens regardless of what side I ovulate from. I had an ultrasound yesterday as my doctor through my cysts where back and do did I but my scan was clear and she couldn’t see anything.

I think it will be ectopic pregnancy and I don’t know where to go or who to speak to or what to do? Any advice would be much appreciated Thankyou x

Hi lovely.

You need to speak to your doctor and have an internal ultrasound as soon as possible. At the moment you will be classed as ‘pregnant but in unknown location’, don’t worry too much yet it could just be you’re so early on that they’re unable to detect.

If you have an internal ultrasound this should help, please reach out if you need to discuss further I have been down this road.

Thankyou for your reply I will definitely call gp on Monday. I had an internal and external ultrasound yesterday as I though my endo and cysts was back and it was clear. I never thought I would be pregnant. I will be 4 weeks Monday do you think they would have seen anything yesterday in my scan?

No problem :)

So I had an ectopic pregnancy and on the first two scans couldn’t see anything, the pain got severely worse over the following 2 weeks and then they discovered the cluster in my Fallopian tube.

However, when my son was born it wasn’t until 12 weeks that they could see him due to the way my womb lies.

Nevertheless your doctor should be in touch with you next week and advise for bloods to be done as well, this will indicate more so if you are pregnant or if it’s down to cysts.

I agree with Adelaide1612 to get in touch with the gp. When I went to the gp with my first pregnancy I said I was getting period like pain but because of my endo they sent me for a scan to check the pregnancy wasn’t ectopic. It was too early to see where the baby was so I had to have blood tests for a few days to see if the hormone levels were rising. By 8 weeks you could see where the baby was and they discharged me. Good luck, fingers and toes crossed for you x

It might be too early to see on the scan so I'd suggest ringing up your doctor and express your concern, ask for a blood test for your hcg levels asap and another blood test 2 days later, if the pregnancy is healthy it should double but if it's not it will either decrease or rise slowly and the doctor should then give advice on what is needed. Fingers crossed for you. Xx
