*it may be worth mentioning I suffer with health anxiety*
I have had an off pelvic pain going on two years now. I’ve been to the doctors multiple times, had endless scans and everything came up healthy.
The only thing they saw was in an ultrasound And I had a small simple cyst on my left ovary that went away in a couple of weeks on it’s own... nothing to worry about the gyno said.
The pain its self is usually a dull ache/mild cramping. Similar to mild period pains or like I’ve done a huge abs session at the gym. They usually occur mid cycle.
After some googling I came across endometriosis and have become paranoid over it ever since.
I don’t have bad periods, they’re not painful nor heavy, I don’t get any of the other ‘typical’ endo symptoms either. I occasionally get pain during sex but ONLY with deep penetrate positions which the doctor said was relatively normal and common (sorry for TMI).
I have been to about 3 to 4 doctors and specifically expressed my concerns about Endo. Each and every single doctor has told me although they can’t say for 100% (because only a surgery can diagnose), but none of them think I have the condition. They each think I suffer with painful ovulation.
Usually I would listen to the doctors, however I’ve had so many stories of women’s diagnosis being wrong with this condition. How do I know they haven’t got it wrong with me?
Should I listen to the doctors and trust what they say or do you think I have it?
