How do you make cool packs?

With the weather getting warmer I'm looking into using cool packs instead of heat for pain relief. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips on making one at home or what types you can buy online that work for you? I'm a bit in the dark with this,

Hey I bought a therapearl one from eBay it’s quite good I just pop it in the freezer! You can use it hot or cold too so that’s a bonus!x
