For the last year I have been suffering with severe pain under my right rib, radiating up my side and into my neck and shoulder. I have a high threshold for pain but this is enough to put me in bed. At the same time I also experience unreal fatigue. The pain starts like clockwork on the first day of my period, lasts roughly 4-5 days then disappearsš¤·š»āāļø
For months I had been suspecting a kidney stone, but the fact the pain is 100% cyclical is making me think possible Endo.
I spoke to my GP over the phone this morning (not my mentioning Endo Thoughts) and described what has been happening. She said as the pain comes and goes with my period then thereās not much they can do about. She said if āIā wanted she could refer me for a scan, but that it would be unlikely to pick anything up. And given the area that Iām feeling pain she said they might not even know where to start scanning.
Just feeling a bit deflated now .........has anyone had any similar experiences?
Should I try a contraceptive pill to see if it stops the pain?
Many thanks š

Iād go and see a different GP, nobody should be sent away with unexplained pains. Regardless of what time of the month they happen!
There is some research you could do Endo, Without missing anything critical. endo does give different symptoms itās easy to overlook other conditions.
You can actually get endo anywhere in your body, they say itās rare, itās not itās just undiagnosed and under funded as itās seen a gynaecology issue not a whole body disease.
Maybe have a read see if this fits? But Iād say just go back to the GP or a new one and insist you get listened too, if you were a man with random chest and neck pains that came and went monthly youād be seen by now with physio plans in place, full chest scans and pain relief by the bucket load.
