Im at a loss and need to know if anyone else has had this?

I was diagnosed with endo and PCOS last year and told to have the coil. I have now had the coil for three months and still have pain everyday. I went for a check up with the nurse and she said I probably have IBS and gave me a FODMAP diet plan.I just don't understand how my diet can be giving me such bad period pain. Has anyone else had this?

I had the coil for a year with constant pain. Finally made the decision to get it taken out in September and haven’t really been in pain since! As soon as it came out I just felt an instant relief x

Well really if you had ibs I thought that’s to do with bowls not period??

It’s not ibs it’s endometriosis!

the nurses advice does not sound right you’ve had the coil but since the coil is not working you must have ibs?

If you think you have endometriosis I can strongly recommend the book period repair manual it has helped me a lot in managing my endometriosis And periods also my diet has helped a lot it explains in the book supplements which can help you manage the condition I’m certain this has improved my symptoms dramatically x

My bowels are playing havoc, it’s still connected to endo so I’ve been told by the consultant. I even saw out of hours the other weekend, who was also gynaecologist and she’d said the same thing, the pain had been incredible.

Endo can be mistaken for IBS from what I’ve read. If the nurse was at your GP surgery speak to GP or whoever your under for the endometriosis.
