Hi all just wondering if anyone can help

I'm down for rapid access for cysts- endometriomas and endometriosis. It is all over my right side and apparently it is on my bowel as well. I'm in extreme pain, taking tramadol and mefenamic acid tablets.

Does anyone know how long you have to wait for a rapid access appointment.

It depends on how much you insist.

You immediately need to seek an experienced excision surgeon and ask your GP to refer you to him. Given how much it's spread, you need to go for full excision straight away and don't waste time on diagnostic laparoscopies. Make sure a team of surgeons including at least a bowel surgeon will be there.

If you want to, I can advise on a few surgeons or you can find names on the BSGE archive and then research the one you choose.

You should be able to find contact details for the secretary of the consultant you have been referred to on the hospital website. I'd email them to check they have got your referral and ask what the waiting time is currently for rapid access. You can offer to take a last minute cancellation (if you're able to) to see if that will speed things along for you.

I just saw your post when searching for info . I just wanted to say I am sorry you're in such pain, I can empathize with you as I am too .. waiting to see oncologist gynecologist .. did you get appointment yet how are you doing x

Hi I’ve had the appointment just waiting for them to do MDT meeting to decide but I’ve got to take both tubes away as they are badly damaged, they haven’t told me anything about fertility treatment yet?? And don’t know what to do??
