Re decapeptyl injection

Hi I have been diagnosed with endometriosis last year, and my doctor decided i should give Decapeptyl injection a go a 3 month shot, first one i had terrible headache and hot flushes and lost weight, now with second 3 month shot i have gained weight and feel down and tired all time, i am nearly coming to the end of the 3 month and i don’t t think i will get it again however i was wandering if anyone had it done and how long does it take for you body to get back to normal? once the injection wears off or has had its 3 month period. Im new to this so i hope my question makes sense. Thanks in advance

Hi! I’m sorry I can’t answer your question! I am on Decapeptyl too - but on the monthly injections. I know you cannot have more than 6 months’ worth with each time so you shouldn’t be offered another 3 month one right now.

I’m about 6 weeks in and I am bleeding so heavily all of a sudden that it is making me feel so weak and dizzy. I was told to expect some light bleeding which I had, but not to this extent. Did you experience a lot of bleeding at all?

Hey no i have the Marina Coil therefore i don't get any periods, first time i got the injection i had a day of spotting thats about it, now i have been suffering more with urine and kidney infection and apparently they come now as a result of no hormones! So i think I prefer endo pain than kidney and urine infection every 3 weeks. I am seen my gynaecologist next week and i will ask him how long does it take for my hormones to come back. I have started endo pains already so that must be a signs of the injection wearing off. I would strongly recommend pilates though if you can get it in your schedule , it has helped me a lot . Regards
