Bleeding on prostap

Hi I had my first prostap injection last month and I’ve been bleeding on it quite heavily and this has happened twice now, just wondered if this had happened to anyone else? Also does it actually reduce pain because my pain hasn’t reduced at all!

Hi there, oh my god the pain and bleeding didn't go away for me. But that's my body reacting to it. The days leading up and after each injection the pain was unbearable, I couldn't walk, eat, drink, sleep, definitely not work in my condition.

Just try to reduce any stress and make sure you have the things you need around you like water and comfies and definitely hot water bottle.

I did my treatment for 4 months and for me did nothing. Had my third operation on the 30th December so recovering slower than I thought from that.

Just keep going and make sure when your days are bad like either side of the injection take them off work if you can, I had to.

That’s really helpful thank you! I don’t know why I just really hoped this was going to help I know it’s early days but it’s awful still! Thankfully my job isn’t physical so I can sit with a hot water bottle but it still isn’t very comfy! I hope you manage to recover soon from your op!xx
