Good post, Lindle. Thank you.
Yes it's a really good one isn't it? We can have such high expectations of excision of endo and when it isn't a 'success' it is easy to blame the surgeon as not having the skills. Sometimes this may well be the case but there are so many other factors that can come into play that might co-exist and skew statistics.
Good to see you’re still here, thank you! Would you mind if I privately emailed you for a bit of advice? I’ll keep it short as no doubt you’re busy.
Thank you Lindle, it's a very complete and helpful article.
Re: interstitial cystitis.
Since about a few month ago, I started having its typical symptoms - pain which worsens when I need to go, uncomfortable voiding and urgency. Cystoscopy and cultures are clear, ureaplasma did not grow any more. But I believe that the pain comes from the uterus and not the bladder. Since the uterus, scarred or even infected, is already in discomfort, the full bladder pushes it causing even more discomfort. My pain/urgency symptoms get worse on period. If the pain signals from bladder and uterus share some nerves, the pain may feel like it's coming from the bladder. Who knows. But I don't think I need any more cystoscopies.
