Prostap - weight gain

Hi I'm 35 years old and have just last week received my 6th injection of prostap, I have noticed over the last 6cmonths I have gained weight and I just can't seem to shift it. I have finished my course of injections now and I am due to see my consultant in January to discuss what to do next. Has anyone else had trouble with gaining weight and shifting it as it is really getting me down on top of the endo itself?

I've not had prostap but a quick google suggests this:

Weight gain can be a side effect of prostap and this is sometimes due to water retention but at other times a consequence of a eating more either due to a increased appetite or mild nausea - "to settle the stomach" .

It may need looking into a bit more. I found with my combined pill I gained weight. It's difficult to lose after but it is achievable slowly. It could be that changing to a different brand / strength could help.

I wouldn't focus too much on actual weight but rather the feel of the excess weight; I found when I started exercising properly (years ago) I wasn't shifting anything as I was gaining muscle as well as losing fat so the scales didn't read it properly. Now I don't bother with scales but go by the looseness and fit of my regular clothes, including paying attention to the "wobble". Some areas tone quicker than others.

Perhaps take up exercises that focus on you feeling healthier rather than ones for losing weight because that'll happen anyway, trust me! I've taken up pole fitness, and yoga, both do wonders for being with women, chatting about our everyday issues and yes these things do come up a lot so it's nice to be around those that get us and really know what we're going through :) Pole fitness isn't as crazy as you think; it's actually really good (google pole fitness and endometriosis), I found it really helps even during my flareups, mainly because other women going totally get it and we all support each other. It's helped me tone up, in a nice way, feel more comfortable with my body and more positive. I'm heavy and trust me it's awesome when you notice there's all different bodies that go lol!

Did you ever manage to shift the weight you gained on ProStap injection? Xx

Side effects of Prostap include weight gain and fatty liver. (I recommend getting liver checks often)

The weight put on after Prostap is almost impossible to lose.
