Hi I'm 26 and currently have endometriosis adnymosis (I still cant spell them right) I've had this since being 17-18 it's been a hard fight but they are putting me on menopause induced injections once I've had a clear out as I'm currently in university doing sociology and criminology it's amazing! Would love to also bring awareness about these diseases!
Thankyou kaiya

Please make sure you are followed by an experienced endo excision surgeon as consultant.
Eat very healthily, sleep plenty, avoid alcohol, soy, dairy, preferably coffee and gluten. Have lots of non-fried fish, free-range eggs, veggies, fruit, some nuts, grass-fed meat and whole grains. Move outdoors. Take supplements such as vitamin D (check if you're lacking it, most women with endo are lacking it), magnesium, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12 (if lacking), selenium, zinc, iron (if lacking).
Try Epsom salt baths, castor oil packs, CBD oil or ibuprofen for pain.
Try getting an osteopath to perform a myofascial release massage or get a tui na massage or acupuncture.
In general take care of yourself and try to minimize stress
Thanks for introducing yourself. I'm relatively new to this forum also (couple of months) but have found it to be a wealth of support and tips and becoming a member of Endometriosis UK earlier this year has provided a wealth of information and also helped me to feel that I am contributing to the fight and discussion to get this disease more notice and attention.
All the best with your degree, sounds like you have a fascinating subject combo there!
I'm 37 and was only officially diagnosed a year ago even though I've been struggling and back and forth to different GPs for about 25 years but I'm finally happy to have a diagnosis and be under the care of an Endo specialist (I also have Adenomyosis) at an Endo Centre in London.
I agree with previous reply. I've been a veggie for 20 years (haven't made it to vegan yet) and have cut majority of gluten out too. I cut alcohol out 2 years ago as that was a major trigger for me (but we are all individuals in our biggest triggers).
The most important advice I can give is don't beat yourself up, be kind to yourself and don't let any Dr make you feel like your making a bigger deal of the disease than it is (unfortunately we have to fight for help). All best wishes x
Thanks to you both! I totally agree I'm getting there with food an things, shocked about the soya tho thought that was a good healthy alternative! Crazy... my endo specialist is really good hes using my case as training to other surgeons as mine went from one extreme to another within years.. after this laparoscopy they are putting me on a 2 year prostap injection to turn it all off as he refused to do a hysterectomy while I'm in uni after a good think I've agreed to his proposal... and my university is very supportive and good with handling my situation so I'm very much one of the lucky ones 100% but Dosent take the pain away but one step closer 🙏💖 its lovely to be able to speak to people likewise to me thankyou for the support xxx
