If endometriosis occurs outside the womb then how does it cause excess or irregular bleeding? One of my first symptoms before my whole body descended into chaos was a little bleeding in the middle of my cycle which I'd never had before, but I don't get why, it happens. Eventually before I went on the pill my periods were lasting over 3 weeks. I know no one researches this so there is probably no scientific answer but does anyone have any ideas?
