My sister has been advised that chemotherapy is the best treatment for her endometriosis. She lives in London, she's 36 and so upset by this.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal? Are there better options?
Thanks!

Endometriosis isn't a cancer. Ergo chemotherapy won't do anything.
Its not even any of the recommended treatments for endo. So no idea where her Dr is getting that it should be used for endometriosis.
Does her Dr have a specialist interest in endometriosis? In the UK only a Dr with specialist interest should be treating or diagnosising someone with endometriosis /suspected endometriosis.
Who has advised her of that?
I have never ever heard of this treatment for endometriosis. Has she been seen by a specialist? x
This is great & really interesting advise. She saw a consultant at a London hospital. I’m not sure if he was an endo specialist but she was sent there by her GP. She’s asked for a hysterectomy but they won’t give it to her and she’s exhausted by the battle. Anyhow, it seems like chemo isn’t the answer. Weird that he would suggest that. I think my sister should go back to the GP or seek alternative advise. Thanks 🤞
