Hi everyone,

I am new to this site, I'm looking for some advice please.

I'm going to cut my story short, if not it would be so long winded.

I have stage 4 endometriosis, my bowel is attached to my uterus.

I have been given 2 options,

1. Start treatment to slow down my hormones.

2. Full hysterectomy with part of my bowel removed, hrt and a temporary colostomy.

I would like to try the 1st option, does any one have any good advice on the treatment to slow down my hormones.

I am 44 years old.

Any advise will be welcome, thankyou for taking the time to read this.

Hello this is very interesting to read @ Lindle response as I didn’t even realise this!

Peoni I’m also stage 4 with bowl, pelvic, adhesions and endometrioma. I’m 29 and decided to go through hormone treatment (I’ve only had one injection with HRT so far so too early to really say) I had a good piece of advice from a lady on this forum to seek a second option at an Endometriosis specialist centre with BSGE consultant- will be more in the know soon hopefully.

All the best with finding the right treatment for you, just to check as well you’re being seen at a specialist centre? I’m starting to appreciate the importance of being placed in the right care (I had a bad experience with a Gynae previously)
