In march 2019 I was last admitted in hospital with the scare that I had appendicitis, but it came back that it was endo..

December 2018 I had a laprscopy to confirm endo, in march 2019 it was confirmed I have stage 4 with two chocolate cysts and that i am an urgent case for surgery

Endo has affected my bowels so it will be a joint surgery with the bowel surgeon and they said minimum it is a 9 month wait, and was reassured I was on the waiting list on march 2019

In the mean time I was told I need to have the menopause injection whilst I wait for surgery, 6 months later I find that i am still bleeding same time every month for almost 10 days, but pain has been more bearable and with the injection I find that I very rarely need to take any pain killers (just need to when I bleed) but its worked wonders to the point that after 14 months of being out of work due to the pain I am now back in full time employment

Can anyone give me tips or advice how I can challenge my gyna in terms of giving me a date for surgery i have my next review in October and I feel they will just fob me off with another 3 month boost of the menopause and still do nothing about my surgery.

I am in the same boat. This is what many of us women have to suffer through and as amazing as the NHS is, it is struggling and the waiting times are long.

I have been waiting months and every time I call, they tell me its going to be longer.

Nothing you can do really as they can't bump you up the list. Unless you go private, but you are looking at thousands.

Being on the waiting list has put my mental health in a bad place, but I know I can't do anything but wait. Self care is the key until then. Sending you best wishes. Xxx
