I just had a sigmoidoscopy done because my bowel symptoms were what concerned my doctor the most, there was a bit of bleeding up there but nothing too concerning and it was the first day of my period so I usually get a bit bleeding out my ass when I'm on anyway but the ladies at the endoscopy unit basically said they cant diagnose it as endometrisos because it's a gynaecological issue
Because I'm being discharged from the endoscopy ward and sent back to my doctor, I'm scared he'll brush off all my other symptoms (he is a good doctor but he said that debilitating period pain is common which is kinda annoying because it didnt seem like he was taking me as serious as I wanted) so I'm hoping to be referred to a gynaecologist. Do you guys think this is what I should be doing or should I ask my doctor for something else?? I'm so stuck of how to get this sorted😪

I have the same little blood during the period from the ass too! Needless to say mine started after I had been diagnosed with endometriosis, I'm still awaiting some bowel surgery but I'm having fertility treatment at present which will only make it worse.
I think you should demand a gynecologist referral and tell you're gp that you appreciate all he has done for you but you need an expert. I had my gp messing me about for the best part of two years thinking they could treat me without referring till I got a 13cm cyst inside my ovary...then they literally had to apologise for refusing me, ended in me losing an ovary. So please demand a referral, I really wish you luck with it all xx
