I've been having painful sex for several years now. To the point that I cannot have sex anymore. It's a deep pain that makes my lower back hurts a lot. It's so strong that I have to push the guy out in order to stop it. As soon as the sex stops, the pain stops.
I went to see a gynecologist few years ago and we thought the problem was a 3cm cyst on my right ovary. Then last year when I had an ultrasound, it showed that the cyst was gone. So now, I don't know what to think anymore. Apart from that I don't have any other symptoms. When I was younger my periods were really painful, but they got much better in my 30s. Now my periods are almost not painful at all. I'm 40 now and I'm taking the pill (my gynecologist recommended it).
Another thing that might be related is that I've always had bloating since I was 15. There are some times of the year that even drinking a glass of water will make me bloat. But I kind of manage it now, as I got to know which foods or combination of foods and/or drinks will make bloat.
I now some people can have endo without having all the symptoms. I just wonder if some of you have/had the same issue. I've read a lot about painful sex and the pain that I have might be related to endo or it might be some problem with my back (bones and/or muscles). I just don't know which specialist I should see anymore. My gynecologist (who is an endo specialist) said that he cannot guarantee that I have endo or not, the only way to know is by doing the laparoscopy.
