Newbie...scared worried and feel alone.

I'm new here please bare with me...I went to a gynecologist about something total different while I was there they did an ultrasound and internal ultrasound which showed 3 cysts about 5cm each, which she said was chocolate cysts. I never thought anything was wrong I just thought that I had bad periods ie heavy painful periods pain in legs or late periods which I just thought was normal for me. (Which I know is not normal now). I was also having symptoms of endometriosis of the bowel which I just put down to IBS.

I am now waiting to have a laparoscopy to confirm things but I'm so scared of what they are going to find. I have had surgery for other thing in the past and it's never been good news when they got me to theatre.

I'm 33 and have got any children but would love to have them on day. I'm just scared that when I have the operation they are going to come back with bad news.

Just wondering if anyone has had symptoms and cysts and had a good outcome after their laparoscopy?

Hey- please don’t worry. I have had 2 laparoscopies where they removed choc cysts from my ovaries and I still conceived , it just took me a bit longer than usual . I also had endo on my bowel and my ovaries etc were joined to my pelvis...

I had a partial oophorectomy due to a large cyst. They advised before surgery they might have to remove the whole ovary but in the end they didn't need to. They found stage 3 endo. Recovery after lap has went well and I'm just waiting for my follow up. Look at it this way, if they find endo then they can help with a treatment plan, anything else is speculation. At least you might be able to get some answers!
