Internal scan and questions

Hi everyone,

Today I went for 2 ultrasound scans. The first was too fuzzy to see so I had to have the internal scan to scan the ovarian cysts that I have. I was asked about bleeding/periods and this is the second time I’ve been asked because last time I had not had a period but they said there was blood present (sorry for gory bits) I was just wondering if anyone had been asked this question and what came of it afterwards as I’m a bit worried now and they wouldn’t really answer questions just told me to wait for the consultant. They did say last time I saw them they thought it could be endometriosis but unsure because of cyst also. I’m at a bit of a loss really. If anyone could help or advise I’d be really grateful.

Hello

When they do scans its totally normal for them to ask when your last period was etc. It's so they know what stage in your cycle you are. Helps them when they are reading the ultrasound.

Yes that's okay. That's what we're all here for. Oh also totally normal for them not to tell you anything, it's for the consultants to do this.
