I have suffered with chronic severe pain for years. In January this year I was sent for an urgent referral to the hospital for suspected cervical cancer. I got the all clear for that but after talking to the specialist he did a pelvic exam and felt endometriotic nodules. I then had a diagnostic laparoscopy, merina coil fitted and biopsies taken. The biopsies came back all clear. Today I saw the specialist again and he went through everything. He said during the laparoscopy he found lots of scar tissue. Lots on the right side and between the womb and bowel. He said he couldn't see any endometriosis but he definitely felt the endometriotic nodules in various places. He's told me I now need to have zoladex injections once a month for 3 months. He said that will stop my ovaries from functioning. If that doesn't help then we'll have to look at other options.
I'm so so upset.
Sorry I just needed to moan a bit

Hope you are doing ok. I am in a very similar situation. Been in chronic pelvic pain for 11 years and have been told its deep endo that is causing my pain. I have had pelvic exams that show severe thickening and tenderness but then the lap afterwords did not show anything. I am being treated with the coil at the moment. I have taken those injections in the past and they helped my pain. Hope you have a good consultant as that is the important thing. Hope things improve for you. Sorry I cant advise you more xx
Ive just put a post up where im in a very similar situation. 2 laps, 2nd 2 weeks ago where adhesions had attached uterus to bowel and left side wall, no endo found and mirena fitted. Im still in agony and its getting me down. Just feel so deflated at the moment. Hope you ladies are ok x
Thank you so much for the replies. I feel so lost and alone. To be told they're giving me injections to stop my ovaries from working it feels like they've stolen my womanhood if that makes any sense. He said the next step would be to have a baby. That's not an option at the moment because we have to pay. My husband had the chop 18 years ago so chances would be incredibly slim anyway. I'm so worried he'll want to carry out a hysterectomy.
