Hi I have been having awful palpitations the last 3 weeks, having had Prostap3 8 weeks ago, they lead to me hyperventilating, dizziness and yesterday an emergency GP appointment,to find out bp was at 180, he didnt give me the lower figure. Left there, went to work, only to have another episode of palpitations, leading to passing out and an ambulance being called. ECG was fine but BP was 189/101.
GP doesnt think the palpitations are due to Prostap, however they only began a few weeks ago. Iamvery concerned about my blood pressure and wondering if any of you Prostap ladies have experienced the same thing?

Hello Flydragon9, sorry to hear you are feeling grotty at the moment. You need get in touch with your prescribing specialist and also to go back to your GP as soon as possible with a copy of the manufacturer’s Summary of Product Characteristics for Prostap3 - you can find it online here:
This is the official website (Medicines.org.uk) where all of the official guidance for patients and medical professionals is published online in the UK. If you look at the table of adverse reactions for women you will see that palpitations and hypertension (high blood pressure) as both listed as side effects of Prostap3. If your GP feels they would like further advice they can contact the drug’s manufacturer (Takeda UK) as they have dedicated pharmaceutical advisors whose job it is to provide medical professionals (although sadly not patients) with appropriate advice about how to manage any drug side effects. Their contact details are listed at the bottom of the Summary of Product Characteristics for Prostap3.
I hope this helps and that you are feeling better soon, x X x
