Prostrap

Hi this is my first ever post. Has anyone tried prostrap? I'm not 100% if it is actually called this 😂 it's all new to me. Is it any good and what are the side affects? Thanks.

That injection was awful side effects for me. I never got passed the 1st one. I was probably badly managed on it. I was told to stop it. I ended up in A and E it was the month from hell. Bleeding worse than ever for all of the month. They told me I was still suffering the side effects 18 months after. My consultant retired after giving it to me so I had no one to manage it properly. I wouldn't recommend it but some people on here have had much better outcome than me. Good luck with it all. Hope you feel better. X

Hallo, people have different reactions to it. I’ve been on prostap (also Zoladex) with HRT (Tibolone) for years and it’s given me my life back. For the price of a few hot flushes and regular bone scans (to monitor for bone density) I have no more periods, pain or any other nasty endo symptoms.

Most people try it for 6 months to see how it goes and if it doesn’t agree with you, you should find out pretty quickly. If you google the side effects, you can monitor for these.

Hi it’s such an individual experience as you can see two very different experiences. I had the worst experience on prostap. I posted about my experience previously, But my friend is having a very positive experience with prostap and is still using it today. So unfortunately you will not know until you try it. I personally would never have prostap again as it sent me into a very dark place and I suffered joint pain and could not get out of bed. I’m sorry but there is no simple answer but to maybe try it.

For me it’s been an absolute life saver I came off it for a few months and quickly realised how unwell I felt off it so luckily my consultant has represcribed Hope it works for you xx
