Unable to control pain

I'm just home from 5 hours sat in a and e crying my eyes out in agony. A dose of oromorph and sent home with dihydrocodeine. I should have an emergency scan within the week and refered to endo team.

I was diagnosed in 2007 but its only been the past year I've really been suffering. I've been in constant pain needing meds daily for the past 3 months.

Was advised the mirena coil but reluctant as was sterilised 5 years ago and have a missing filshie clip.

Agreed to try the pill (microgynon) but has had no effect.

The last laparoacopy was 2016 when they had to remove fluid after a ruptured cyst. But no mention of how advanced my endo is.

Can I request a lap to find out how advanced my endo is and could I also request a full hysterectomy?

I'm just so fed up with being in constant pain. I'm permanently grumpy and tired and it's affecting my work and home life.

Any suggestions on what I can do or what remedies have helped others.

Thank you in advance x

Unfortunately, hysterectomy does not cure endo. Laparoscopy for the sole purpose of seeing how advanced it is would not be recommended due to trauma and increased scar tissue which would just cause more pain. A laparoscopic excision surgery could be indicated but they would want to try treating it first; surgery is last resort if you are diagnosed and have history of surgery. I first tried continuous birth control, then visanne, then Lupron before my second surgery yesterday. Avoid surgery at all costs and do not get a hysterectomy for the sole purpose of treating endo!
