Help Prostap querie

I am due to have my first prostap injection this afternoon I have read so many bad things about it! Does anyone have a positive experience?

Theres always so many bad things or complaints in general, never quite enough good is shared. I had it for 5 months, and after the 2nd or 3rd injection it gave me the best 6-8 weeks I had in such a long time, i actually forgot how it felt to be normal .... Its different for everyone and there's never any knowing until you have it. I hope it helps you x

Yes, I had a series of prostap injections twice, and each time my endometriomas shrunk. Unfortunately they quickly refilled when the treatment was stopped, and eventually I had surgery

I had my first one on April 18th and had a a 2 week period where I was bleeding on/off with very mild cramps that a normal paracetamol helped with. I was very ill the first 3 days and had to go on anti sickness medication because I couldn't keep anything down, it was basically like morning sickness, but I was told that was a very rare side effect, I think for me the worst part was my mood swings and the hot flushes. I went back for my second one last week and when I told them about my side effects they have put me on a higher dose and I have to take tibilone everyday for 3 months also.

Now that I feel a lot better in terms of my hormones I don't really see any negatives with it, a 4 month stint of no periods and not having to plan my entire life around my periods is amazing. If you have any of the symptoms I had after my first one then make sure you tell them because there is an alternative.

Hi, I have these injections and I am due for my 3rd one but had no appointment through as yet and today I have got pain stronger than I have in a while. I find they help me a lot. I just hope I get appointment soon or I can see it being really bad Hope they help you as they have me x
