So after returning once again to gyney the clinic was running late as consulstant was in surgery which was fine, I'm told as I sign in they where phoning me trying to cancel so get pulled into room by nurse who said they would have to rearrange my procedure? ??? After explaining they thought I was having the womb abolation I had in January 🤦‍♀️ so continue my wait which was fine as it had been explained before. I'm the last one in I've got two dermoid cysts one on each ovary have had one removed previously and had fibroids but after 2 scans the 1st said I only had one 1.5cm cyst on my right by the second scan the sonographer said it measured 3cm and a 1.5cm one had appeared on the left. So my head is swimming as dermoids are slow growing is it the c word is it endo is it thyroid related. So back to appointment he tells me that my cysts have actually shrunk slightly I explained I was told by pornographer they had grown he belittled me by making me read the screen and compare it to the notes even saying that is your name and date of birth isn't it. He said with them being so small it's pointless operating and is probably lose my ovaries in the process. I was in bits as I'm in daily pain and struggle to walk I suggested endometriosis as I've had problems since I started periods I improve when I'm pregnant but I have pcos, a dermoid cyst that attached to outside wall and fibroids. I have all the symptoms but when I suggested it through my tears he stated I wouldn't of had kids if I had endo. My hubby put in a complaint as if he'd of checked my medicine list he might of spotted I suffer from anxiety and depression. I've now been referred over to look at my bones with a come back in 6 months but get a blood test to make sure it's not cancer. I'm so Down and angry trying to live my life but everyday is a struggle and feel a burden on my family as I have to ask there helps with getting about and household courses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😢

Hello I'm so sorry you've been treated this way. Please write to PALs at the hospital, they are the complaints department essentially, they should A know about it so they can speak to the gynea, but also so they can help you and perhaps get you an appointment with someone who has better understanding of endometriosis and also a better bedside manner. And what they said is complete shit. Just because some women with endo have issues with fertility does not mean everyone does, having kids does not by any means say you don't have endo. Be aware that the blood test they may do is ca125 this shows inflammation markers and does not mean if its raised you have cancer it can actually be raised due to endometriosis along with other things.

Thank you so much for your reply my hubby has put in a complaint as I was very upset they have stated they have had complaints about his bedside manner before and we have asked for a second opinion. Unfortunately I live in North Wales and I know there are no endo specialists here they are all down south I would need a referral to the women hospital in Liverpool. I keep having repetitive gyney problems since forever I've made my way down the list over the years I've been on multiple contraceptive pills including the one that meant for people who are sensitive to it and the mini pill, the coil each made it worse I just bleed everyday, in pain and depressed. My pain and period pain feels like I've been stabbed and last year before they upped my pain meds I was on the verge of collapse, I couldn't walk far so now I'm on pain meds daily it's been blamed on ibs on sciatica now my bones I'm not a small lady and my weight loss and gain swings I can't exercise I've tried walking but no good it even hurts to swim I end up using my arms and just dragging my body back and too. I've had to resort to a walking stick as the pain was making my leg go from under me im 31. My symptoms always got better when I was having my children and returned straight after. I just feel there treating the symptoms not looking for the cause my cysts are too small to cause me pain, my previous fibroids to small to hurt, it's ibs. I rattle 3 times a day and it still hurts im on colofac, zapain, ibuprofen, gabapentin to try to treat pain but it's a mixed bag on a good day it's a dull ache on a bad day I'm lucky if I can move as staying still limits the pain and it's always worse first thing and last at night so it either stops me sleeping, wakes me up or I wake up like someone's hit me with a hammer. Feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall ☹
