My gynaecologist suggested I've got endometriosis, but I am not convinced. I have some pain on the right hand side, it starts from my belly button and is like an arch, then sometimes it goes, to my hip and even buttock and down my leg. Can this be endometriosis??
Thank you.

I have endo and yes I get the right sided pain that goes into hip area and down the leg. Had a hysterectomy but pain continued on right side so now 2 yrs later having ovaries out. Get a laparoscopy and you will know for sure.
Thank you for your reply. Does it affect your stomach as well? I haven't got any other symptoms like painful sex or heavy periods - none of these. How risky is laparoscopy?
Yeah, before hyst I had awful heavy flooding and such awful pains since I started my periods. Its great not having the actual bleeding now but still get monthly pains cos ovaries still in. Feels like strong period pains/ labour pains and stabbing. Get bloated too which is painful. Been diagnosed with allsorts from ibs to hernia, actually had an op for femoral hernia last yr but they couldnt find it so after lots of nagging gynae listening as I took detailed pain diary to appt so now waiting for op. If you believe it is endo then have the lap, you will at least know what you r dealing with. Its unpleasant and all ops have risks but its unfortunately the only way. Keep a pain diary and food diary. Good luck
