Hello yall, I am 21 and I just got a lap 3 days ago and they found NO endometriosis and told me everything was perfect. However, I get extremely painful pelvic pain during my period and towards my vagina and butt. The pain is so bad I can't get out of bed to get my pain pills. My mom has mild endometriosis so we thought that that would have been what I have. I'm disappointed that nothing was found and I still am yet to have a diagnosis. The laparoscopy was pretty painful and expensive so I can't afford to do another but I think I need to go to an endo specialist. My mom is looking into an IUD that I could have installed and just not have a period for a few years until later when I decided to have kids. What do you do when you've been in pain for so long and this last step doesn't work. I have tried many different birth control pills, 50mg Tramadol, and exercise and heat and nothing works that well. Please let me know if yall have any advice or are in the same position I am in. Thank you, Skyler

Hey, I’m sorry to hear you’re in pain! 😞 if you’re looking for an IUD, they recommend the mirena coil for people who have endometriosis. It’s not pleasant having it put in and it hurts for a while after but long term, it helps prevent the heavy bleeding and I’m sure it could help with other symptoms. It didn’t help my endo symptoms, but it helps others!
I would not recommend going on any pills. I was tried on a combined pill, the implant and 3 different mini pills before I was offered an IUD and I do believe it made my endo symptoms worse in the long run!
I don’t know if you’ve done this already, but print this out and fill it out for a few weeks endometriosis-uk.org/sites/... and take it to your doctor and show them when the pain is and where it is, and they should be able to give you more advice.
Lastly, I have heard that sometimes endometriosis doesn’t show up in a laparoscopy, so it may be worth your while finding an endo specialist and having a lap done with them to see if they can find anything else.
Sorry for the long winded answer, I hope it helps!! 🤗 and I hope you get answers soon to your pain my lovely 😊
I think I will try the IUD and just see if it helps. I think I will go and get a second opinion and see if they can find anything. I wish it were easier to figure out why I'm in so much pain. I would hate to get another Lap done since my first one was so expensive. Thank you for letting me know some more info I really appreciate that!
