Posting again as laying here feeling super nervous! Ended up being admitted into hospital yesterday with severe pain. They thought appendicitis but that was ruled out. I am now having urgent pelvis and abdo ultrasounds today and I’m so nervous that nothing will show up and they will think I’m crazy!
Can they tell anything at all from ultrasounds? I know this pain is not normal and I’m feeling so anxious...not that I want to be sick, I just need someone to tell me they know this pain is real.

Thank you! I had one three years ago and was reported as normal and have continued with this pain for three years...fingers crossed for some better info today xx
Hey, cysts and endo can show up on ultrasounds however, they didn’t on mine and I had large cysts and endo around my uterus which only showed up via surgery.
Ultrasounds are nothing to worry about, it’s painless and just a cold gel on your stomach. Worse part for me was trying not to wee myself haha.
Ha ha! I have been told no food and only clear fluids...I did have one three years ago and it was ‘normal’ I don’t want anything horrible to show up but just something to give my own sanity some relief! Did they refer you for surgery after ultrasound?
I had a long battle to get surgery but I ended up buying for a private consultation who then referred me to surgery back on the nhs as I couldn’t afford the op privately.
Yeah I thought I was going crazy as well as the scan was normally but hopefully you’ll get some answers xxx
Hi I've just seen your comment, once your private consultant referred you for surgery did you have to wait long for it? (As in a shorter waiting time than the NHS?). I was thinking about doing that but it was making me anxious just thinking about it!
