Does anyone have premature ovarian insufficiency as well as endometriosis ?

I was diagnosed with premature ovarian insufficiency in around march last year after failing to fall pregnant for 2 years. I also have an 8 year old and miscarried in September 2015, which I had to have a medical management for, as I was over 12 weeks.

Now I have pelvic pain on the left side of my pelvis. I had a laparoscopy in July last year which found mild to moderate endometriosis, my left ovary was also stuck down and had endometriosis to the pouch of Douglas. None of the endo was removed as they feel it will hinder my fertility. However I have also heard otherwise in that excision of endo can actually improve fertility. However my gynaecologist has said the only other option to manage my pelvic pain caused by the endo is by going on the pill if I can no longer cope with my pain and that she is confident I will get pregnant, but that the best option for me is IVF. In April this year we would have been actively trying to conceive for 3 years and haven't used protection since the end of 2015.

What I would like to know is if anyone else has a similar experience and what they have been offered in terms of treatment etc, I am in Nottingham. Thank you.

Your best option for you is excision surgery, not IVF.

IVF is what non-specialised gynecologists suggest because they CANNOT perform excision surgery.

All women I have seen get excision surgery have fallen pregnant naturally if their tubes were not compromised.

Since you said "none of the endo was removed as they feel it will hinder my fertility", that tells me the laparoscopy was not perfomed by an endo specialist and therefore was pointless.

I've said this countless times but getting surgery with endo excision specialists ONLY is of uptmost importance.
