My eyes are rely itchy the time at the minute I get hayfever and I'm highly allergic to dust and pets but it's gone mad at the minute does anyone else experience this alongside their endo?

Hi again and snap again I also get a very congested nose along with sneezing and itchy watery eyes. My doctor prescribed fexofenadine and it’s stopped it all. I also got a humidifier for my bedroom at night which seems to have helped too x

Yep it certainly makes you feel crazy or hyper aware of things. I also have rosacea too and the allergies and rosacea all started around the time my Endo symptoms did a few years back. Sometimes it feels like it’s never ending lol x

Did anything major start your symptoms off like a lot of stress or anything?x

I had a pill break for a few months to give my body a break and it’s then it’s started and then the worrying about the symptoms made me stress which made my symptoms worse and I went around in a viscous circle for 18 months until I was actually diagnosed after a lap confirmed it which I had to push for as every test had come back clear and they wanted to leave me and I said well I’m still in pain without an answer so what are you going to do about it. Getting diagnosed after surgery was actually a relief in a weird way xx

Mine all started in July with headaches I ended up in the hospital for 6 days put on an ontology ward had an Mri and ct of my head blood tests and a lumber puncture where they couldn't find anything wrong then my anxiety spiralled and I've had all kinds of tests done but the period and gastric issues started in October so I'm wondering if I've brought it all on through constant stress and anxiety x

Stress is definitely a huge factor if I get too stressed now I will have a flare up. I had a horrific year last year with 2 close bereavements and some other very stressful situations and my body fell apart, I had an Endo flare up, a throat infection, broke out in eczema over both hands which had to be bandaged (never even had ezecma before) and started suffering panic attacks and constantly felt over whelmed. My GP signed me off work and said stress was the reason behind it all. I guess it’s hard not to stress when you have symptoms that make you stressed. The joys of having a uterus and hormones huh ha ha x

I know what you mean they wanted me to have time off work too and I said no we can't afford time off unless someone's offering to pay my bills and feed my kids but I think that makes it all 10 x worse x

It’s so hard and even harder to find people that understand. That’s why I love this group, it really helps making you feel you’re not alone and that other people have experienced same symptoms and issues xx

I’ve had increasingly problematic allergy and sinus issues since my late teens as well as really heavy periods. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease around 7 years ago then also with endometriosis following a lap around 4 years ago after some very intense pain episodes and heavy bleeding. I am convinced they’re all associated things. I’ve been tracking the pattern of when my sinuses are worse and theirs a definite link to ovulation and premenstrual. I’m 44 and feel that most of my adult life has been dominated by my nose and my ‘lady-bits’! X

I have terrible sinus issues, I completely understand this

Interesting as my sinuses have been really bad this week but I'm also ovulating. Never thought of the connection before! I get your last comment totally with the addition of bowel issues that's me!

Oh my, I thought this was just me. Constant sinus pain, allergies and finally getting a lap done to confirm I have endo! Been suffering for the past 10 years.

If you read about the link bertween histamine and the menstrual cycle, it’s very interesting x

I'd never thought of the connection till I read your post! I'm the allergy queen according to my friends! Always had sinus issues, watery yet dry eyes, skin problems (eczema and psoriasis) and asthma thrown in as well which I developed in my late teens as all my issues really started to kick off. I have lists of things I can't apply to my skin or eat without a reaction. I suppose the theory that endometriosis is an autoimmune disease could makes sense of this.

Sounds like such a messed up gut :(

It's very common to have inhalant allergies or allergies to foods. Both endometriosis and allergies are related to an altered immune response and closely linked to the leaky gut.

I suggest you look into this topic for this matter because it might be very helpful for you.

Consider taking immune system modulating supplements, such as zinc and selenium.

Endo and allergies / histamine intolerance go hand in hand. If you read the book Endometriosis by Mary Lou Ballweg it’s extremely informative and should make a lot of sense to you. X

Giving up dairy stopped most of my hayfever symptoms many years ago. I think this stuff (endo included) is largely linked back to inflammation, and dairy can be inflammatory. If something is putting your immune system into overdrive, then your hayfever will go mad (since hayfever is defined as an exaggerated immune response).
