Hi, I'm new here after joining up for some advice. We've been through the mill with the diagnosis process for the last 4.5 years and finally getting close to a Laparoscopy! It just feels like every time I see my consultant they come up with another reason to delay the surgery. I'm sure lots of you have had similar issues, so please could you give me some advice on how to push the surgery through? Thanks in advance!

Pushing for a Laparoscopy
Hun Ginnycat, I’m sorry I can’t give advice on how to speed it up, but just wanted to warn you that a laparoscopy doesn’t always help with diagnosis (particularly if it’s adenomyosis). I had a lap 8 years ago and they said it was clear. I saw a specialist afterwards as was tearing my hair out and after explaining my symptoms she said she was 99% sure I have adeno. Then an MRI found endometriosis on the pouch of Douglas and confirmed that the uterine lining was much thicker than normal, due to Adeno. Good Luck, I hope you get the surgery very soon and it does help with some kind of diagnosis!
Hey, I contacted PALS and they managed to get me surgery 3 months earlier than expected. You just have to really exaggerate your symptoms and they will try and find a slot. Xx
