I don't have endo but this is the most relevant community I could find to ask a question. I am 23 and on zoladex treatment to stop me from producing ovarian cysts as I have had 4 removed in the last 18 months. I have just had my fourth zoladex injection and I have had a lot of period pain in the last week, in my lower back and very low in my abdomen, I have had to take strong painkillers for it. I was under the impression that I shouldn't have period pain on zoladex. I have had a scan which shows that I do not have another cyst and everything else is clear, but the pain horrible. Any ideas?

I’m on Prostap which is the same kind of drug. I have to have it every 3 weeks as I have a fast metabolism and started to bet symptoms after about 16 days. 3 weeks is the minimum time they can be prescribed. However Zoladex is thought to be longer lasting as it is a pellet. Could it be wearing off or are your symptoms not at this time?
I had the Monthly implants for 7 months awaiting endo excision surgery and had the same thing, pain and really heavy periods from about week 3 onwards... I’m afraid for me it got worse with every month and I had to be on very strong painkillers. It quite possibly could be because it wore off - I also have a very high metabolism. See if perhaps you can get it done every three weeks instead of four
