They found what is a suspected Endometrioma...

Hello everyone, I’m lying here is bed at 2.30am having been woken by the dull ache of what I suspect is the 4cm cyst they discovered on my ovary last week.

The doctors have indicated it may be an Endometrioma. It would be great to hear from anyone who has / had one of these?

They sent me for c125 blood tests recently which came back raised (but I understand Endometriosis can do this?) needless to say I have spent all Christmas worrying as I wait my my referral to a specialist.

Is anyone else going through the same?

Yup. They found one that is 7.4 cm, and another on my other ovary that is 2.8 cm. I've been trying to decide whether to have them removed via surgery for about 7 months now. I've also been trying to dissolve them with serrapeptase, but I'm not sure if that's working (I should know more about that soon). Try not to worry about the elevated c125 - there are often false positives. Anyway, you are not alone - I understand the anxiety, as well as probably thousands of other women on this site (I'm not sure how many people are on this site, but..). Let us know what happens. Will you get an MRI next? I'm sending good thoughts your way.

Hi- I have one and had one before. I totally understand being kept awake by the pain and it only gets worse the larger it gets.

I am currently on waiting list to have mine removed as I get daily pain which is sometimes unbearable.

Endometriosis does give u raised ca125 levels so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Is there anything you want to know?? Or askthat I can maybe help you with? X

Morning Rehant

Thank you for your lovely message of reassurance. It’s good to know I’m not alone!

I think I have read every single online article on Endometriomas and Endometriosis so I think I’m covered.

Hoping I will get to see the specialist ASAP and get some clarity around an official diagnosis and next steps.

In the meantime I’m going to try not to worry too much and enjoy my new year.

I’m so glad I found this forum.

Happy new year xx
