I was put on the mini pill to help control my endo and help with periods? I have stage 4 endo.
Im 33 and this is the first contraceptive I’ve ever taken..So I’ve been on it for 2 weeks now and have noticed alot of changes! None that are positive, I’m aware it can take many months to see a change,if any. But I’m concerned.
Ive had these symptoms every day for the last 2 weeks
headaches
bleeding
breasts hurting
Mood swings short temper wanting to cry
Sleeping more.
Ive decided to stop taking them as of today has anyone else had these symptoms on the mini pill?

Have you had a laparoscopy and removal of all Endo that can be removed? Is the mini-pill supposed to stop the Endo coming back?
I would talk to the trained advisors at 'Endo UK' (link at top) who run this site. Even if you are not in the UK they can give advice on what best to do.
I'm afraid I don't have much more to suggest, as I have not come across this treatment route before. Has anyone suggested the Mirena Coil?
I do hope you get more advice, but thinking of you.
I started taking the mini pill just over a month ago, I too have all your mentioned side effects plus a few more. However I have been told to give it at least 3 months as it takes a while for your body to adjust to the hormones x
Thank you for your reply’s, yes I’m in the uk and i had my first laparoscopy in October to remove 2 large chocolate cysts and endo/ adshions, the consultant came to me after the op said that it was an invasive op showed me pictures and told me to start the mini pill, that was all the info i got. I was in hospital for a couple of days and when i left i read on my discharge papers i have stage IV endometriosis and that i was discharged form his care, I’m not sure if it was all removed. I’ve had no follow up just been left with these pills to get on with it. Im now heavy bleeding today and in pain my mood is bad, for me if i have pain i feel i can control that with painkillers but when it comes to my mental Health i cant do nothing for that, so continuing with these pills is a no for me.
