I've had a reduction in pain for the most part, especially once I had the 12 week injection.
I'm back at gyne in January but am wondering what happens now.. When will my periods return.. When will the hot flushes stop.. Will the weight I've gained on it go now? Dieting has no effect on it..
I have had a few pains around my ovaries and some intense shooting pains but hoping that's everything switching back on.
Thanks

hi. Hope you're ok. I had 6 months of prostap and it was 10 weeks exactly from my last injection to my period returning. I was lucky to have no side affects but I'm sure someone will come along with experience of the time for them easing off. Hope you keep well. Xx
My protap ran out and my period returned 7 weeks late.
I refused to have any more injections due to the horrendous side effects I experienced.
Hair loss (falling out in clumps)
Increased muscle/joint pain
Pins & needles
Constant headache
Hot flushes
Cold sweats
Feeling very tired and weak
Forgetful
Everyone’s experience with Prostap is different, I didn’t have any weight gain, I’ve been losing it due to other gyne issue. I didn’t have any spotting before my period as an indication it will be here in a matter of days. I already have pain so that wasn’t an indicated either.
I had 6 months of Prostap which ended last November ... within 6 weeks from the last injection, the horrendous side effects had stopped but I started to get 'about to come on my period' type pains up until February. They suddenly stopped and I felt really good until the end of March - I got a really bad upset stomach and was in agony, spent all weekend in bed feeling dreadful and on the sunday evening started bleeding! This happened in a pattern for 3 months, every 30 days to the hour I would come on at the same time but much lighter and less painful. I've since not had a 'period' since June now though which I don't like because it feels so unnatural! I also have the Mirena coil in place but was still having a cycle until I had prostap. I also gained 3 stone in weight and have struggled for the past year to shift it but seem to be getting somewhere for the past couple of weeks so hoping it continues. Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear - I wish somebody had told me what to expect! Hope you're ok x
