So I’m currently recovering from my lap still and planning where to go next as the hospital was just awful re: treatment with me.
But the question is- what pill should I go on?
I have a uni trip booked for January and I refuse to let whatever is wrong with me ruin another part of my teenage experience , however I am due on whilst I’m away and staying in hostels. My bleeding is so heavy and I can bleed through and so really I want to try a contraceptive pill that can hopefully stop my period for that month.
I used to be on rivigedon which was a combined pill and that did do the job - although the side effects were awful .
Then I got put on ceretzette ( something like that 😂) but that didn’t work for me
So I’m thinking a combined pill is what suits my body best , has anybody got any suggestions ? Thankyou xxx

I’m currently on microgynon which is a combined pill, my plan is to take 3 months back to back, then have a period, and so far it’s worked. I’m nearly finished my 3rd pack and haven’t experienced a period or any spotting x
I found microgynon brilliant back to back for four months, for about 7ish years! I loved it because I had so much more control over my teenage years and I felt normal!
Endo was diagnosed when older (microgynon wasn't helping at that point), but I didn't know what I had back then so I just wanted to be out of pain and have normal periods.
I have been on cerazette and found it excellent for stopping my heavy bleeding. Been on Cerelle which is same hormone but a different brand and it didn’t help as much but partly I wonder if that is because my endo had got worse. I’ve had a Mirena fitted 10 days ago when I had my operative lap and so far so good but not had it in long enough to see how it’s really truly going to go! Good luck with your choice and I admire your attitude - don’t let this condition stop you maximise your experiences, do what you want to do, just look after yourself 😊 xx
Thanks everyone I’ll be sure to discuss all this with my GP- it’s all just so over whelming sometimes , I just want to be able to do certain things again without feeling panicked I’m going to be in agony or bleed through etc xx
