Not sure why by I have razor blade-like burning in my vagina for up to twenty minutes after using the loo’! I wasn’t aware if they used a catheter during the procedure I assume that’s what’s causing the burning sharp pain. Anyone else?

if it's in your vagina, they may have had a check up there for any issues so it's a bit sore. Or they may have prodded around near there / bladder inside so it feels all sore and raw so causing the pain.
Drink lots of water; this will help healing and help keep the temp of your wee and the acidity more neutral, helping stop the pain a bit.
If you can it may be an idea to get your notes / talk to the surgeon to find out what's been done during your op.
If it doesn't go after three days then see your GP / specialist as you may need medication / sachets / vaginal pessarie (spelling??) stuff for whatever's going on.
Hope that helps xx
Thank you! The Specialist came to see me post-op yesterday it was hard to listen because I was still heavily sedated 😂 he mentioned they found something on my bowels, they removed scar tissue and disconnected stuck tissues and organs! Something about endometriomas.. I was trying to keep my eyes open. But my vagina nothing was mentioned.
Hiya, it could most likely be from a catheter inserted during your lap, as they need to ensure your bladder remains empty, so there could of been a bit of trauma when inserting or removing it. I also had the same feeling after my lap, like a raw burning feeling, but it settled after a few days. I also developed a bladder infection, if any of your pain persists contact your gp x

Thank you! I thought it must be from the catheter.. just didn’t remember them mentioning it. Good to know about the infection.
