I constantly feel sick and full. I’ve no idea what I can and can’t eat anymore. Does anyone have suggestions for work time lunches and snacks?

Sick and full
ahh no, sounds horrible
Have you tried vegetables and humous? You can use peppers, carrots, celery, cucumber, any dippable veggies. If you're not keen on humous you can make it with any beans (google recipie ideas), or you could try making guacamole (I use frozen avacados).
You could try wraps with meats or veggies, refridgerate and cut into slices like sushi sized.
Salads work well (no dressing) I love mixing anything that's leftover including seeds, fruit, nuts and raisins
If you're not up for meals then nibbles work well, try dry fruits (preservative free), raw (uncooked) nuts and seeds. Even the chocolate coated ginger, cranberries would be a start. Health food shops are great for ideas.
I love rice paper parcels, but the rice paper needs soaking a little in warm water then wrapping stuff in it, lol imagine doing that at your desk!
Hope that helps xx
Are your pain levels high?
I have found this when I've been in a moderate amount of pain, ie I can still function but I tend to lose my appetite and have a lot of nausea as a result of the pain my body is dealing with.
I've found not eating complex carbs and eating small amounts helped, veggies and salad throughout the day, soup is generally my go to when it happens. Xx
THis is the difficult thing, I swear fibre messes me up! And I think I feel full and bloated because I literally am full.
It’s incredibly frustrating because every article on endo suggests more fruit and veg so I’m not sure why I’m different. I’m also vegan and love those foods so it’s not like I don’t want to be healthy lol.
Hi, perhaps try gluten and lactose free for a few weeks. This helped me a lot and I slowly started introducing a bit of gluten and lactose in my diet..... hope this helps
I’m already totally lactose free (vegan)
I tried gluten free for years but it made me worse, I think due to the high fibre content in gluten free foods.
Two years ago I found less startchy carbs and more veg and protein helped but then I was hospitalised with obstruction symptoms.
I just feel like “is it endo?” As nothing seems to work (hormones make me worse, diet doesn’t help). But I’ve had many excision surgeries and they always find loads.
I’m due for another op in December so I’m just trying to find things to tweak for the next month.
Diet has never helped me long-term. Hormones make me worse too, that's not uncommon with endo x
Thank you for your reply! Sometimes the more I try to read and “help myself” the worse I feel for it. There’s so much mixed advice (even from professionals) it can become overwhelming.
I think I’ll just take soup to work lol and try to add a nutritional protein shake into my day.
Have you found anything to manage symptoms?
God I wish I had!
I'm on cocadeomel at the moment at the highest dose, which isn't sustainable as it's a narcotic, but I had to go to a&e yesterday as the pain got so bad I was passing out and unable to stand or walk. They confirmed I've got a cyst on my left ovary but wouldn't operate as it wasn't at a dangerous level to rupture 'yet', lol. So I have to go to my doctors and get that arranged.
Weight training really helps me as a physical activity. I avoid cardio, I've read a lot about running and jumping being bad for those with endometriosis.
I am pretty sure fibre messes me up too so I minimise it, but if I eat junk I don't beat myself up. Sometimes bed and rest and junk is all I can do.
I'm not on any contraception. I find any introduction of hormones messes me up unfortunately. I've been considering the copper coil but I've heard it makes periods heavier which I wouldn't think possible with me but you never know!
Sorry that's not more helpful, I'm as lost as you are at the moment unfortunately X
Omg I find the same with training! I have just decided to give up martial arts due to the jumping around/getting hit and general wear and tear. I am in pain everyday so I want exercise that makes mefeel good. I have a trainer and programme to weight train twice a week but I often end up cancelling at least once (I cancelled last night as I was in bed in pain). I am going to get a body weight programme to do at home in between, so I don’t have to feel bad if I end up missing one or two. I also try to do “yoga with Adrienne “ ever day. I do find direct core work triggers my pain so I try to avoid that too.
It’s nice to hear It’s not just me having weird and wonderful symptoms lol but I am sorry to hear you are suffering, I hope today is better for you.
Just wanted to update you all.
Today I decided to boil some veggies (sweet potato, carrots, broccoli, spinach, chickpeas), add some grilled tofu and create a peanut and soy sauce.
I have no idea if my stomach will react to this (boiled veg is supposedly easier to digest) but I’m just happy to be getting some nutrients and enjoy cooking again.
