Hi! Thinking of you Martoosha. Mr Treharrn is known to be one of the best if not THE best. You are n good hands. Much love toq you sweetie. Xxx
No I haven't had excision. Was only diagnosed with stage 4 endo after my total hysterectomy and BSO. However I carried out a lot of research in case i need total excision at a later date and learned about Mr Treharrn who I would choose as my surgeon. Think of all the pian and nausea you have suffered over the years and how the surgery will be short term pain for long term gain! Xxx
omg julie this makes me so sad. im sorry you had total hysterectomy:-(. how old are you? hes doesnt believe this treats endo....
its shame you havent found him before...
Julie there is a book which also helped me alot...my friend give me to me between rocovery after first op and the one which is coming. Book is called 'Love your lady landscape' by Lisa....its a beautiful book.
That sounds like a great book, thank you. I was 51 when I had my surgery this Feb. I was fobbed off for decades - IBS for God's sake! We didn't want children - who knows it may have been diagnosed earlier if I had tried to become pregnant. Mr Trehan trears endo as the problem not oestrogen. I am feeling much better on oestrogen and testosterone HRT. But yes, I do wish I'd been informed if my condition before surgery and seen Mr Trehan. Hopefully my endo won't reactivate. However I know who I would want to see if it did....
thats good you dont suffer anymore. sad thing is 1000000 of women out there been treated like they making this up, cant be that bad, ibs etc....its a man world sadly....makes me angry sometimes. good thing is there is big support between women...like here, where we can give each other love and emphaty xx
Yes - I had to push very hard to be taken seriously and to be referred post-hysterectomy to a BSGE centre. I still have some endo on my sigmoid colon at least. I was reflecting on what a wonderful group this is. Who else would I bother to email at 6.30am but a fellow 'traveller' on this painful journey?
Enjoy your Christmas and New Year. At least you will be recovering in the dark months and will emerge from the gloom into a new spring - and with any luck a pain free new you!
Please keep us all updated as to your progress. Are you in Lindle's Facebook Group?
No im not on that group but will have a look. yes its amazing how much women supporting each other knowing there is nobody who understand...if you have endo you just know how other suffer.
Have a lovely Xmas and NY and of course I will keep everybody updated.

Hi Martoosha,
I just wondered how your surgery went with Dr Trehan and how much did it end up costing? I dont have medical insurance and his secretary has said i could end up paying upto £24 000! but this would be the most anyone's expected to pay...I am hoping to book a consultation soon but it would be good just to have a more realistic idea of costs....
mine was £30 000 in total....but i have very sever form of endometriosis and my surgery was 11,5h long....
im 4 months post operation and still recovering. my period did improved but i still have adenomyosis so im not pain free. between period i also experiance pains. but like i said there is a big differents....
im glad i went to him
hope that helps? x
Thanks for the quick reply! 😊
Wow that's alot of money...but worth considering if it is life-changing surgery i suppose...
