Post-lap Questions

Hi, everyone. I've got my post-lap follow up appointment tomorrow. I've made a list of general questions to ask. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to ask?

I made a list on my phone, so I'll copy and paste...

What was found and where?

What was done?

Was a hysteroscopy done?

How much endo was removed?

How much was left?

What stage endo?

Was anything else found?

Treatment options?

But to be honest, they covered most of this stuff anyway, so I didn't really need to ask directly.

Hey Jess,

I've got my lap in less than 3 weeks. Are these questions not answered once you've had the lap? I thought they would explain to you what's happened? Do you have to wait long for the follow up app?

Hi. The surgeon will come to speak to you after your lap and tell you the basics like, if endo was found, where, and what they did. But from what I remember, it was a brief discussion. It's difficult to fully concentrate after just having woken up from the anaesthetic. I was told everything in more detail at the follow up appointment. My follow up was 6 weeks after my lap. I think 6 weeks is about average, but it varies for each person.

My lap did go well, thank you. They found endo and removed what they could. And I'm very pleased to say that 95% of my daily pain has gone!
