Hi, everyone. I've got my post-op appointment at the end of September, so I'm going through my treatment options. Since my lap a month ago, I've barely had any of my usual endo pain. But I'm considering stopping my periods because they have a big impact on my life.
From my research, I've learned that the combined pill is effective at stopping periods because it prevents ovulation. And the progesterone only pill doesn't stop periods because it is about stopping the sperm, rather than preventing the ovulation. Is this correct?
Before my endo was confirmed, I was on the combined pill and it fully stopped my periods. Then when endo was suspected, I went on the progesterone only pill, and it left me having heavier and irregular periods.
Also, can you constantly be on the pill for your entire menstruating life?
Is there anything else that is good for stopping periods?
Sorry for the long post x
