Hi, I’m 21 and just recently had my first laparoscopy and diagnosed with endometriosis. I’m struggling to understand it fully and maybe see what treatments help is there for me. I got the marina coil put in last week too so fingers crossed it helps with symptoms!
My main concern is working every day life. Is anyone affected by it so much they are unemployed due to health? Also worried about having children in the next few years, and wondering if it’s out there for me to be tested to see if I’m fertile or do I just need to try and try kind of thing? Thanks

Hey I found that having Accupuncture sessions helped. I was diagnosed in 2013 with a laparoscopy but unfortunately mine is the type they can’t burn away as it’s behind my left ovary. I’m on microgynom but got an appt to see my dr to have the mirena coil fitted as I’ve started to have flare ups the last month. I also found yoga helped, drinking chamomile tea and applying heat helps. Xxx ps I love this helps xxx
Hi I lost my job due to my illness, it’s so unfair and I think workplaces need to have a better understanding of what this condition actually is and how it effects people on a daily basis. Employers dementia to think that people should be well 100% of the time and not take any time off to visit the hospital or GP. You obviously have to cope with the symptoms as well as other issues such as the psychological issues of feeling depressed, people not understanding, general feeling of being unwell. Rant over!! I didn’t get told about a fertile test, they said at my gynae appointment that I could possibly have children. I think it’s a case of try it and see as really who knows what your own body can do, even with an illness like this. I see online that a lot of articles say we can’t have children but where is the evidence? Hope you are having a good day & pain free 💕x
