For how long you tried to get pregnant naturally before ivf ?! I am afraid i will waste my time with something impossible

I started TTC july 2015. Got referred in April 2016, diagnosed with endo September 2016 followed by 3 months prostap and then 3 rounds of ivf. My tubes were blocked before by surgery due to adhesions so can’t really count those months. The consultant said I would probably conceive naturally but the ivf would speed up the process. I think egg quality was a bigger issue for me but I don’t know if that’s a result of the endo xx

Hey there, I got pregnant when I went to get IVF after 3 years of trying. I got diagnosed with Endo by the ivf people and they said I needed surgery before ivf and then I found I was pregnant a few weeks later! I had my adhesions & Endo excised during my emergency c-section as I was very lucky the dr doing it was an Endo specialist. Everyone’s story is different and things sometimes do happen naturally. I had adhesions and was diagnosed with stage 4 Endo. I found the whole trying process very upsetting and I became very low mood.

A near impossibility is to try not to try so hard!! But if you do fall pregnant get an early scan as my second pregnancy did end in an ectopic due to my insides being all stuck again.

Good luck the unknown is one of the hardest things

Xx

So you got pregnant by ivf not naturally and they suggested surgery before ivf but you got pregnant through ivf without surgery right ?

Sorry I went to get ivf but they refused due to my Endo and I fell pregnant naturally 2 weeks later. Sorry it is a bit complicated. Both my pregnancies were non ivf but my first ended up complicated (pain throughout pregnancy, abnormal placenta and unable to deliver) BUT I got a gorgeous girl my second was a late ectopic. Both times I had the Endo and the ectopic was due to adhesions kinking my tubes!
