Endometriosis after total hysterectomy

Hi my name is Tracey, I had a hysterectomy when I was 28 and then had my ovaries removed when I was 30 due to endometriosis and chocolate cysts. I am now 48 and have struggled with my bowels for quite a few years being told it is IBS. I came out of hospital a few days ago as my gp thought i had appendicitis but have now been told it is endometriosis. I am a bit shocked as I thought it would of been eradicated after having my ovaries removed. Has anyone else suffered with this?

Thanks

I didn’t have hysterectomy , but hysterectomy doesn’t help with the disease it will help the effected areas or organs and as you know total hysterectomy means no Uterus and ovaries

Not bowel that why most of the people after having total hysterectomy still suffer

And bowel issues usually come because of adhesions

I have bowel issues most of the time is not associated with period

and if it out of period time means is not endometriosis but it means adhesions formed from endometriosis
