Hello,
I recently had an ultrasound because I have been battling with some awful symptoms for a while now. I finally got an appointment since the symptoms are getting worse. The main symptom is pain on my period. The pain is truly awful, and disrupts my daily routines, there have been times I cannot walk and other times that I have had a sudden fever, vomiting and severe abdominal pain. My stomach bloats and I have pain in my pelvis and rectum when I cough, walk or sit down - especially on my period - along with constipation. My period is often brown and even black at times and differs between light and heavy, although I do get them every month.
During the ultra sound, they said it looked like poly-cystic however my symptoms and blood tests didn't match this. My doctor seemed uninterested over the phone, and suggested the pill - even though I was taken off due to migraines. She also casually offered the idea that my eggs might be infertile with no explanation... you can imagine my panic.
I believe I may have endometriosis after researching into it - which I've been doing for a long time now prior to my appointments - do you think this is possible? I have asked for a referral but they could turn me down. Do you have any advice if I do get turned down - how I take it further?
Thank you.
