Advice on bloating and cysts?

Hi ladies,

Hoping someone can give me some advice on whether they think this is cyst-related..

It's been exactly 6 weeks since I had my last period (I would prefer to call it a mini period as I'm on the coil) and started HRT to attempt to shrink an ovarian cyst on my right ovary.

For the last few days I've had bloating and pain like you would not believe. I honestly look about 7/8 months pregnant and would not even attempt to put trousers on right now - only baggy dresses can fit me! More than that though, I cannot get comfortable, I've lost my appetite completely and painkillers do just not touch the sides at all. I don't feel gassy or like I could pass wind, and definitely don't need the loo. I have very sore period-like pain as well.

As I don't have a regular cycle it's so difficult to predict whether this is indeed ovulation or something relating to the cyst - is it worth getting it checked out or waiting a few more days and hope it passes?

When did you start your HRT? sometimes some women say it can take a while for the body to get used to the hormones and there may be some side effects - it may be an idea to put a post up saying what hormones (brand name) you're on and what experience people have had with it - hopefully you'll find some answers!

If it gets worse over a few days then possibly see your GP, or ring the surgery for a doctor to call you back.

I started the HRT 6 weeks ago so I'm sure it's just my body settling and getting used to it! It's called Estradot, and the hormone is estradiol.

I'm currently trying apple cider vinegar, probiotics and flaxseed as a supplement to ease the bloating and it does seem to be working which is a relief!
