Usually if it's ectopic your hcg levels rise but don't double, I've had 5 miscarriages one which was ectopic. In all my miscarriages my hcg levels dropped but with the ectopic they got slowly higher, hope this helps x

Thankyou did you mind me asking how far along you were when you found out it was ectopic and did they have to operate?

I was around 6 weeks and it showed up on the scan so they had to operate, my hcg levels were over 6000

Ok thank you that helps put my mind at ease mine have gone from 90 to 85 so as long as they dont suddenly go up then thats a good sign can i ask now that you know you have endometriosis did you experience your endometriosis pain while pregnant as they are wondering if thats what causing the pain on one side also have they said its the endometriosis that could have caused you so many miscarriages?

It is possible as I did have pain in one side before I started bleeding and I've been told that the endometriosis probably hasn't caused my miscarriages as usually it's harder to get pregnant but I had no problem with getting pregnant just staying pregnant

Hi Liz, I have pain on one side due to Endo cysts on my ovary. It’s worth going for a ultrasound test as these can be seen on there, then you have your answer. So sorry to hear of your miscarriage but brilliant news you managed to get pregnant and I am sure you will again xx

Hi Lyn, I’m so sorry you are experiencing this. I’ve had 2 ectopic pregnancies. With my second one I experienced pain in my left side so my advice is to go back to the hospital or doctor and ask them can they definitely rule out ectopic. I don’t mean to scaremonger but it’s akways better to be safe than sorry. I hope all goes well x

Thank you they have ruled out ectopic after me spending yet another day in the hospital due to servere pain on one side they couldnt explain it other than it is because i suffer from endometriosis my miscarriage is in full swing as we speak the hospital gave me the strongest cocodamol and it has not touched the pain so it will be a long night and i have to work tomorrow as we are too busy for me to have a day off
